To achieve the most flawless, long-lasting tan, proper prep is key. Start by taking a warm shower and thoroughly cleansing your skin. Be sure to shave or wax at least 24 hours in advance to allow your pores to close and avoid irritation. Exfoliate well, focusing on rough areas like elbows, knees, and ankles, to create a smooth, even surface for your tan.
After your shower, apply a light, oil-free moisturizer if needed, but avoid any heavy lotions, perfumes, or body oils that could interfere with the tanning solution. On the day of your appointment, skip makeup, deodorant, and jewelry, as these can create barriers or cause uneven color.
Finally, wear loose, dark, and breathable clothing to your appointment - tight clothes can rub off the tan before it sets. Following these steps will help you glow with confidence and get the most out of your sunless tan.
